I wanted to write this essay as a sort of backdrop or temporary "solution" to the metaphysical issues that have consumed me to quite a large extent, so that I can shelve them for now in order to focus on self-improvement.
If Man cannot know God directly, then the special intermediaries God sends are a useful recourse. The life of Jesus Christ is the most fitting example of sacrificing oneself for others , and rejecting the attainment of power in this world.
The specific details of Christ's life can be debated; so too can the issue of his Godhood and the specific nature of his divinity. I am also not too sure as to the reliability of the four gospels in general, but my personal favorite would be the Gospel of John.
I think the material world isn't fully evil, as some might claim. It is rather clearly based on the twin pillars of yin and yang.
My philosophy on the Good is that it is clear to me what it is in my own life: resisting temptations and improving myself so that I can be a help to my fellow men ("society").
On money: I want to earn a modest amount of it so that I can be independent and fund some of my own interests in computers, AI etc (having a good computer to run a decent local AI model), and hopefully starting a family.
