They say there was a day, when King Solomon received the water of Life as a gift.
Before drinking, he bade all his men come, so that he may ask counsel of them.
All of them said:"Drink, so ye may become beautiful. Drink, Your Majesty, so that ye may become immortal".
But hence did a certain old man speak: What point is there of immortality? If ye shall live for ever, and never see the evil work of Death; is it not true that it will take everything from you? Will it not take your wives, your riches, and your beloved sons? Is not immortality without love and without company much worse than death, my Lord?
Smiling with a sigh, the king Solomon then threw off his hand that cup of the water of life.
